#5 First year is done!

Well, hasn't it been a while? Yes, it has actually, 4 months to be precise. I'm genuinely disappointed in myself that I didn't carry this one on a regular basis as I've been super busy with my new job, university exams and assignments, but and its a big'un, I'm back! I'm not going set a time frame this time, I'm probably just going to come and go as I please.

Anyway, moving on from the re-introduction, I have a few exciting updates!
First off, I have a new job in Tesco in Bangor, secondly, I’m heading off too Morzine in a few weeks (23rd June to be precise) for a week of spending cycling of bikes down a hillside in a rather rad fashion. Third update is that I’ve officially finished first year, well, I have providing I’ve passed all my exams and last but not least, I finally have a position of power, I’m gonna be the treasurer for both the MTB club and the Business Society next year, yes, I’ll have all the money (new bike for me ;) I joke Sam, if you read this I’ll split the funds half with you ;-) haha!).

Now for a more recent update, I’ve literally just finished packing a bucket load of stuff ready for the father to come pick it up tomorrow so I can finally start moving out of Normal Site. God I’ll miss it, if it weren’t for the JCR, my flat mates and generally the inhabitants (yes, that’s what they should be called) of Normal site then it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as good as it has been! Thanks guys and I hope I can see some of you next year.

Quick snap of my packing (notice the Mongoose… god I’ll miss that frame more than my legs if I ever lost them.)

Anyway, I'm gonna leave you with that for now as I'm tired, but I'll make this promise (mainly yo Liz as she told me off for not mentioning her and not doing this enough) that I will be back in about a weeks time with a big update of my preparations for Morzine and the fact that I will have moved home!

Peace out guys!

#4 Its become a monthly thing already guys...

So, yeah, I'm gonna start by apologising reputedly for it being like 3 weeks late this time, I can't even use the excuse that I've been busy either, as I'm a student and everybody knows, students aren't ever busy... even when they're in lectures they ain't busy at all! I mean, I managed about 15 levels of Angry birds in my Banking lecture on Monday.

Anyway, a quick re-cap of what has happened since my last blog on Friday 27th Jan... I survived Coed-Y-Brennin (just) unfortunately the same cannot be said about my bike, unfortunately in the coming months my trusty Mongoose frame will be replaced with something a bit more burly!

I can also confirm that I lost my virginity too.... My River Island virginity and my Academi virginity (Academi being our student night club in Bangor!). Decided to hit up AU night with Nad, Callum and Seth in our riding, pretty much the best drunken idea Me and Nad have ever had, a few photo's to show you what an epic night it was....

Should probably start with a photo that includes Callum in it really, seeing as in the next 2 he was lets say, "unavailable"
Photo 2: Me, Nad, Seth and 2 fat chicks that Seth pulled... looking pretty normal if anything...
Photo 3: Seth practically nagged the photographer to re-take... don't worry, this wasn't the only photo he had his balls out in!

Anyway, that was a pretty awesome night but was ended prematurely after the bouncers decided it'd be a decent idea to throw Callum out, after numerous attempts by myself and Seth to have him ruffed up, we decided to head home, god I was hungover the morning after!

Since then, I've had a few other nights out, most notable are definitely MTB socials on a Thursday in Spoons, this is purely for the comedy value of making Rudi look like an absolute idiot week in week out.

I feel like I'm starting to drag on now, but I have a lot to catch up on, if you're bored... Do one!

Also found out the other week that I'm going to be a reasonably well of student.... yes, I have a job, unfortunately it doesn't start till like Easter time, which is April, and I sort of need money now, looks like I'll be selling myself for a few weeks yet :(

Another bit of good news was definitely sorting out our house for next year, have some pretty decent house mates too, shame one of them's a surfer :

I decided that last weekend (11th and 12th) would also be a good weekend to visit home, purely as I could work with my Dad and get my Mum to do all my washing, earned me some Dollar and saved me some at the same time... Ended up in Rhyl on Friday night and I must say, Rhyl has jack shit on Bangor... was begging to be back in Occy (never has this happened before.)

Yesterday was also Valentines day which meant an amazing day with Sarah, went shopping, spent some money, she also bought me some very nice aftershave then we went home, I cooked some really nice food and then was stayed up till late eating chocolate, until I decided it was time to help Nad build up his new Iron Whore... photo below!
Must say, it does look pretty decent!

Today was the day unfortunately for the Mongoose that I found out it would be going to the bike-heaven in the sky, the ovalised head tube is un-fixable, even with a new headset :'( look at it below look all sorry and broken :'(
This sight means no riding till Easter :'(

Anyway, that is probably now my que to leave as I've pretty much caught myself up, except for the boring minor details. Next update will be Sunday 26th as I won't really have much to write in the next 3 days or so.

Peace out bitches!

#3 It's late this week.

So, basically I'm into week 3 now, and its late (sorry guys) promise it'll be on time next time, even though that's in   2 days time...

So, this week, I've finally sorted my house for next semester, ended up meeting all my new house mates for "a few drinks" then ended up at Rock V. Indie night in Embassy where they had a live band on for the first time, its safe to say that this band were a load of tosh. Pretty much come on stage looking like the Arctic Monkeys then started playing then they started playing, pretty much sounded exactly like the Arctic Monkeys.

At the time of writing this, I'm certainly struggling for motivation due to the massive hangover I have achieved from Thursday nights MTB Social, drinking 2 pitchers in the time Rudi only managed one was always going to go wrong, although we finally got Sunday's trip to Coed-y-Brennin sorted so I'm actually gonna get out and do some riding! its been over a month since I've rode properly so I'll probably die, but I'll let you know about that one on Sunday.

Anyway, I'm gonna love you and leave you all and give you a full update on Sunday, when I'm dead from riding.

Peace out Bitches!

#2 Exam week 2, preparing for a massive piss up!

Well, I started writing this whilst half way through my revision and writing my assignment, had a bit of free time so I'm hoping writing this out will motivate me to get it done in time! Due to having no single block of time to write a whole blog on Sunday, I'll be adding to this as things happen through the week, and I'll have a stupid hangover on Sunday so I'll probably be in no fit state to be typing anything :D

So anyway, as I said, this was mid-revision and its Monday night (business management exam tomorrow) and I think I've covered everything, if I haven't, its probably a little bit late to start now anyway!

So, its now Thursday morning, Main Arts library for my Management accounting exam, not really much to write about this week other than revision really, oh, I've also had some new riding gear which is sweeeeet! Anyway, back to my revision, theirs 2 topics on this exam, probably both my favourites too so I should do well, wouldn't mind getting another a* to match my last one in this topic. Managed to nip home for an hour or 2 today to pick up a parcel and my new helmet that I left after Christmas, really enjoyed seeing everyone (even if it was only a week or so) as I won't be seeing them now for a big chunk of time :(

So basically, both exams went pretty well, and we have a decent night out planned for tomorrow which includes getting absolutely crunked. Currently writing this at 10:10 am on Friday, still with 1500 words of that pesky law assignment to do, by 4 o'clock this afternoon. So anyway, I managed all 1500 words, absolutely nailed every single one of them too the paper! Had a slight mis-hap though, went to print it out and BAM:
Yes thats correct, my printer decided that it had no ink left in it, so, a walk up to Sarah's was needed to print it out in time, anyway, catastrophe averted, the weekend has now officially began!

I've not really much to ramble on about for Friday night, went out for a few drinks with Max and Ed, ended up going back to Sarah's to 2 presents, a shirt that fits this time and a new hoody, both of which are beautiful. Headed into town on Saturday to get a few bits, ended up spending pretty much all of my student loan in my head... damn, if only I was a rich bitch, just like the song:

Anyway, back to the point of this blog. Saturdays night out!
What a night it was, only thing that was missing of course, was my beloved Sam Jones (who is actually back tomorrow :D YAYAYAYAY) started with a cheeky drink in The Greek, then too rascals, where I made possibly the best drunken decision ever, 3 bottles of corona for £8.10 and you got a free hat.

Rocking the Hat with Sonny

So anyway, we ended up in Occy, well, Me and Ed did, with Helena and a friend of hers who turned out to be a quality LAD. I would like to divulge more information on the happenings of Occy, but it s bit of a suprise Ed has planned for someone so I will not tell any more other than, I FUCKING LIVE WHISKEY!

So, thats about all for this week folks, hope you've enjoy it and I may even treat you lucky buggers to a mid-week blog after my final exam on Wednesday. I shall leave you with a photo or 2, Enjoy!
 Loving life
 Me, Ben and Helena
 Brokeback Mountain anyone ?
When are these two lads sober?!
Not entirely sure what he's pointing at... must have been EPIC!

Stay strong young Jedi knights!

Sunday, 8 January 2012

Hey look, its a cat, in a bag....Right, so here is a little tester, just to make sure that I can actually send things to my blog via email whilst I'm out and about, should help to keep me nice and up to date :D
Peace out homez.

#1 Lawyers, Rekordelig and Normal site.

So basically, I've just gotten back to Bangor Uni for the start of exam fortnight. Told myself that I wasn't going out till the 19th after my exam... that lasted all of 4 hours and I ended up In Paddies then Racals with a few friends and Sarah (Sarah being the most awesome person ever who has the great honour of being my lady-friend.)

Luckily for me the first thing I have to do is smash out a 2000 word essay by Friday 13th (wish me luck). just to explain the photo, he's quite clearly a lawyer and yet I'm struggling to understand why on earth I have an assignment for this module, I'm studying business studies and finance, if I wanted to do law, I would have, but simply, I don't! I've never had any interest whatsoever in anything law related so now I have to somehow get a grasp of it at higher than A-level, most people fail this topic at AS level, but anyway moving on.

A lawyer, something I've never aspired to be.

Other than writing about 2 words for my assignment, the first productive thing I did was head out to Morrisons with Max and Ed to get a few bits, Student loan came early=Result! So i had this mega awesome idea of making some Rekorderlig strawberry and lime jelly, of course with strawberry and lime jelly cubes, still waiting for that to set by the way.

Just ate this. It was awesome!

The second most productive thing had to be the C**t jar, quite frankly the most awesome idea Ed has ever had, at this point you're probably wondering whom Ed and Max are, they are two pretty cool guys who live on my corridor at Uni. Anyway, back to the C**t jar, basically, we have 20 rules set out, if you break them, everyone in attendance has to think of a price to pay, anywhere between 1p and 50p, come the end of the year, I'm hoping this will provide us with an awesome beer fund for an epic Normal Site end of year piss up!

So, for a first blog, I'm pretty impressed, hopefully have some more exciting things for next week after a few exams, going to try and also make this a weekly thing so keep checking back.

Laters. I'll be back next Sunday.
